Ownership of your brand must always remain in your control.
- Document all delegation before any assignment.
- Trust is important when delegating and so is documenting every delegation.
- Set an accountability, read the contract, negotiate the terms before you sign.
- Seek explanation for any level of access before agreeing.
- Know who will have access to your brand resources.
- You should be aware how much access will they have and why.
- Don’t say ‘I don’t know technology too well’–ask questions, learn, be aware.

As a client you are also accountable.
- If you feel something is not right, put it forward it in writing and seek a meeting.
- Make your payments on time and honor your contracted payment schedule.
- If you have questions about pricing and services, bring it up for the discussion.
- Document your questions, answers received from the service provider.
- Don’t react. Instead, proactively seek clarification and understand the contract.

Don’t allow your service provider to take you for a ride, nor be a client that takes unnecessary advantage of the service provider.
